If you live in North or South Carolina in the Piedmont area-- Here is a list of veggies you can plant in the garden in April. :)
Direct sow seeds of:
Salad Mix (like mesclun mix)
Potatoes (this is a little late--but if you hurry should be ok)
Plant Transplants of:
Leeks (or seeds)
(*watch for weird frosts--if the temp should drop you need to protect tender plants)
**it is a bit late to plant onions--but they should still produce something so do it it if you have them.
** you can plant berries.
** If you didn't start seeds in containers for tomato or pepper--go ahead and do it and transplant them when you can--the season is long, they will still produce. :)
Herbs-- you can tranplant or direct sow most herbs now--except basil-- let it be a little warmer first.
Happy Southern Gardening!
