Recent Update of Sams and Aldi Price Book

This is my 'personal' price book for Sams Club Warehouse store and Aldi Discount Grocery Store. It is not 100% accurate. I only update the items I actually purchase from time to time at my local stores.

Lately I've shopped for cheese exclusively at Sam's club and I'm beginning to get all my canned vegetables and tomatoes at Aldi. Those particular items I'm noticing a big difference between the prices at these store and other stores. The items I buy at Sams or Aldi are almost always lower priced than the everyday prices at the normal sort of grocery stores in my area. Sometimes using coupons and sales however the normal stores have much lower prices than Sams or Aldi on many items. I've noticed it is almost never that I find a coupon/sale deal that gives me lower prices on cheese or other dairy at Sams and lately the price of canned tomatoes and veggies at Aldi did rise a little--but it seems to be at least 20 cents per can less than the other stores--often even when those things are on sale. Those are just my most recent observations. Also I now buy Diet Coke at Sams, I never used to but it has gotten so high priced that Sams finally has the lowest price most weeks. I'm also cutting back on our purchases of this item and also trying more store brand diet colas. This is one of those things Hubby in particular wants around--so I haven't cut it completely.
On meats/poultry/seafood-- Sam's usually has the best deal on rotisserie chicken and it is a nice thing to bring home after a long shopping day. I like to buy whole chickens at Sams as well, they are daily priced lower than most stores--except Aldi--but they are better than the Aldi whole birds. This week I got Sam's whole chickens on sale! Aldi has the best price and good quality on frozen, skinless, boneless chicken breasts. They still sell 3 # bags and they are still just around $2 per pound-every day price.

Books--I also find good deals on popular books at Sam's club. This week I purchased Coupon Mom's book for less than it is on Amazon! I've also purchased Sarah Palin's book there and it was about 1/2 price. I made the mistake of not buying the recent printing of Julia Child's Mastering French Cooking there in December because I thought it might by my Christmas gift. :( Turns out it was a great price--Sam's sold out and I did't get one under the tree. Awwww..
